Admin.
Nobody is good at it.
Some ignore it, hoping it will go away, but in never does.
Some grit their teeth and BANJO it (Bang a nasty job off!)
Some enjoy it, but we will not talk about them here.
I feel like the Headmaster right now.
Asking people for provisional tax figures, to update their retirement annuity tax deduction, to top up their tax-free investments. I hope I am polite about it and not too harsh.
Gen Z may be on to something, but it would be a step too far from me.
Please see the article from the FT recently, which Tarryn has attached for your reading pleasure.
Gen Z have an admin night each month when they get together with friends and sort out admin. The best bond available, the best savings account, the best investment or the best pension. Discuss options and implement a plan.
I feel perhaps that they should get out a bit more.
But they may be onto something.
Maybe one night a month switch off the TV and attend to that nasty admin? Before it piles up and you get a tax year end nudge?
BANJO it.
It will make you feel virtuous.
I will try as well, but not this month. I have to get all the provisional tax returns in.
